Welcome to the website of Athmamari ministries UK. Athmmari ministries is a charity dedicated to providing educational facilities to the deprived areas of South India; and in particular to the 'Highrange' and 'Forestry Commission' areas of Idukki province in Kerala state on the border with Tamil Nadu state. We believe that Christians have a responsibility not only to preach the good news about Jesus but also to show His love and compassion. The aim of this ministry is to reach out and offer support to those in spiritual, physical and economic need.

In the year 2004 We managed to establish a state recognised computer training centre for teenagers, teaching office and computing skills. We have also founded a school, which is in the Highrange area (Mount Betheny School) now serving 80 children aged four to six years old. From the start of the new term in June 2011 our intake at Mount Betheny School will increase to 100 pupils, as we are widening our catchment through the increased use of our jeep in the Highrange area. This school follows the 'English Medium Schools Curriculum' as laid down by the national government. It is our intention to increase the number of classrooms at Mount Betheny school so that we can teach pupils up to the age of 11. We also support a sewing and computer 'after school' institute in the Forestry Commission area.
